Sealed for the Deep. Built for the Surface.
A shipborne surveillance radar operates continuously despite constant vibration, salt spray, humidity and extreme weather conditions. As the vessel pitches and rolls at sea, radar antennas, communication systems and electro-optical sensors must keep rotating reliably without interruption. The marine environment attacks rotary interfaces on multiple fronts. These include galvanic corrosion from saltwater, biofouling, pressure cycling and constant vibration from ship propulsion systems. Subsea applications add extreme hydrostatic pressures to these challenges. FlowTurn's RF Rotary Joints deliver uninterrupted microwave transmission for marine radar and comms. Robust Slip Rings handle power and data transfer, and our Rotary Unions provide reliable fluid transfer. All are engineered for naval vessels, offshore cranes, cable reels, sonar and ROV systems.
