About Carbon Graphite Components
Carbon graphite is a hard, solid form of carbon that also contains graphite. The graphite gives it a smooth, slippery surface. Because of this, a carbon part can slide or turn against metal with little or no added oil. The material also keeps its shape when it gets hot, and it stands up to many chemicals. That is why carbon graphite is a common choice for seals, bearings, bushes, and pump vanes.
